What is octenisept® wound gel and what is it used for?

Octenisept® wound gel can be used for all types of acute skin lesions (abrasions, cuts, insect bites and mild burns such as sunburn). For proper wound healing, wounds must be kept moist, as the condition for healing is the division and migration of skin cells. This is best done in a wet wound environment. In addition, we need to protect the wound from infections!

Thanks to the special exception of octenisept® wound gel, it keeps the wound sufficiently moist and forms a layer on it that protects it from bacteria. This protective layer prevents pathogens from entering the wound because they are already killed in the gel. Thus, octenisept® wound gel prevents wound surface infection and protects against inflammation.

How to use octenisept® wound gel?

Disinfect the wound with octenisept® external solution after injury. Then cover the wound with a thin layer of wound gel. If necessary, bandage or apply a wound dressing. Use the wound gel 1-2 times a day until the wound is completely healed! For hygienic reasons, do not allow the tip of the wound gel tube to come into contact with the wound or other surface!

Use only externally!

Warning:

Keep out of reach of children! Follow the instructions for use. Do not mix with other cleaning and disinfecting agents! Protect from direct sunlight. Do not swallow! Use only undamaged, unopened products! Do not use after the expiry date stated on the label.

Contraindications:

Do not use in case of sensitivity to the active substances! Not applicable to Hialinporcon!
